A swim in the turquoise waters of Papagayo. Among its coves, this one stands out, shielded by ocre cliffs, and whose waters keep that exotic colour scheme. But we also highlight it because in its west hillock we can find a beach bar where you can have a snack, whether it be a cold beer “caña”, or a glass of local Malvasía wine, while you savor some octopus, “papas arrugadas” (wrinkled potatoes, a local dish), or a plate of fresh fish.
– Location: If you get there by car, you should go to the Playas de Papagayo cove. There is an ample parking area adjacent to the beach. Map.
– The best time to go: Or times, to be exact. 1) Arrive at the cove around 10:00 and 11:00 am. Swim and sunbathing session. Around 1:00 and 1:30 pm go up the beach bar. 2) 5:30 pm (when tourists start to leave the beach) some swims. Snacks around 7:30 and 8:00 pm along with the sunset.
